It is officially National Volunteer Week and we are celebrating our unsung heroes. For more than two decades, Points of Light Institute, an organization that advocates and organizes civic engagement and service opportunities, has been commemorating National Volunteer Week.

Prince George's County Sponsors Spring Pet Adoption Event

 

Looking to adopt a pet? The Prince George’s County Department of Environmental Resources’ Animal Management Division can help you find the perfect pet and discover how amazing adopting a pet can be.

On Saturday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a FREE Spring Pet Adoption event at the Animal Services Facility located at 3750 Brown Station Road in Upper Marlboro.

The family-friendly event will promote the importance of animal adoption and feature reduced adoption fees ($45 for cats and $100 for dogs), a pet fashion show and parade, local pet vendors, a bake, craft and yard sale, and lots of other pet-friendly activities. 

All proceeds benefit the Animal Services Facility.
