Woman suffers life threatening injuries in Beltway crash


(WUSA9) -- A woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-car crash on the Capital Beltway on Monday morning.

The woman was trapped inside her car after it collided with another car before Branch Avenue at 6:30 a.m., according to Prince George's County Fire Department spokesperson Mark Brady. She was extricated and medics transported her to a hospital.

All lanes were blocked with traffic getting by on the shoulder as emergency personnel and tow trucks were on the scene.


Man killed in collision with cars in Forestville

FORESTVILLE, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County police are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Forestville.

Police have identified the victim as 24-year-old Irvin William Starks of District Heights.

Authorities believe Starks was struck by three separate vehicles on Saturday evening while crossing the intersection at Pennsylvania Avenue and Donnell Drive. Police say two of the drivers remained at the scene, but one did not.

Police believe Starks was crossing near or within a cross-walk but against a no-walking signal.

PG County police seeking missing man

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police need your help locating a critical missing person.

Paul Prout, 55, was last seen in the 3200 block of Walters Lane on December 10, 2013 at 1:00 a.m. 

Police say Prout suffers from schizophrenia.

Prout is described as an African-American male, 6', and 160 lbs.  He was last seen wearing a tan jacket, tan pants, and carrying a green backpack.  

Investigators say they believe Prout may be attempting to travel to New York.

2 arrested for murder at Md. gas station

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police have arrested two suspects for a murder at a Maryland gas station.

Police have arrested 22-year-old Alex Micah Marshall of Northeast, D.C. and 19-year-old Dominick Payne of Southeast, D.C. for the murder of Dalonte Allen Jackson.

On December 2, 2013, at about 3:00 a.m., police say they found Jackson suffering from a gunshot wound at the BP gas station in the 3200 block of Walters Lane in Forestville.

He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.

Preliminary investigation reveals this was a targeted shooting stemming from a drug-related robbery, officials said.

Both suspects have been charged with first and second degree murder. Payne is in custody at the Department of Corrections on a no bond status and Marshall is awaiting extradition to Prince George's County, officials said.

Homicide investigation underway at Md. gas station

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police officers responded to the 3200 block of Walters Lane in Forestville at 3 a.m. for the report of a shooting.

We are told that a man was shot inside a BP gas station. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police have identified the victim as 25-year-old Dalonte Allen Jackson, of the 200 block of Eagle Head Drive in Fort Washington, Md.

Police say the preliminary investigation suggests one or more suspects shot the man as he was standing inside the gas station

Detectives believe the motive was robbery.

Sinkhole swallows car in Md.

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials say a water main break in Prince George's County created a sinkhole that swallowed a vehicle Thursday.

It happened at the intersection of Marlboro Pike and Forestville Road. The car has been removed from the sinkhole.
