Samuel Davis arrested for raping juvenile in Forestville, Md.

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man accused of raping a juvenile in August is in custody in Prince George's County, according to the sheriff's office.

Samuel Davis was arrested at a nightclub in the 6400 block of Old Branch Road in Temple Hills. He faces second degree rape, second degree child abuse, sex abuse of a minor and second degree assault.

Police say Davis forced an underage victim to have sex with him on August 24 in Forestville, Md.

Davis was arrested on an October 29 warrant.

Police: 2 suspects wanted in robbing Md. woman

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County Police Department is searching for two suspects who robbed a woman of her purse in Forestville, Md. on July 22.

Police said a surveillance camera caught the two suspects on camera. According to authorities, the male suspect was in a red minivan and threw the stolen purse into the trash.

The victim was walking close to Ritchie Road and Vineyward Drive when the vehicle pulled up next to her, police said.

The man grabbed her purse. Police said the suspects drove away with her purse.

According to authorities, the woman was not hurt.

4 injured in accident on I-495 near Bethesda

BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA 9) -- Two Metrobus passengers are claiming injuries after the bus was involved in an accident on the Beltway Friday afternoon.

Authorities say that the Metrobus was involved in an accident with a passenger vehicle near the Old Georgetown Road exit on I-495.

Authorities report that two of the passengers in the involved vehicle are also claiming injuries.

Forestville man struck and killed by car

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA 9) -- Prince George's County Police are investigating a pedestrian collision that killed a 63-year-old man from Forestville on Friday night.

Police say patrol officers arrived at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Forestville Road at approximately 9:15 on Friday night where they found James Hughes, 63, of Forestville, lying in the roadway. Hughes sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

An initial investigation determined Hughes was struck by a car traveling on Pennsylvania Avenue. The driver remained on the scene and police believe Hughes was sitting in the street before he was run over.

60-year-old dead in Md. motorcycle crash

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Deputies are investigating a fatal crash involving a 60-year-old man that happened early Saturday morning in Forestville, Md.

Authorities said the collision involving a motorcycle happened in the 8000 block of Cryden Way at 1:40 a.m. The victim has been identified as Paul Poston, of Upper Marlboro.

Investigation shows that Poston lost control of the motorcycle while he was leaving the parking lot. Poston crossed Cryden Way and hit a brick wall and iron handrail, authorities said.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries Monday.
