CHEVERLY, Md (WUSA9) -- The Prince George's County officer who was severely injured when a minivan plowed into him during a traffic stop is getting better, however the 26-year-old officer remains in intensive care, in stable condition.
His supervisor was at his side reminding him that everything was going to be okay.
"We were talking with each other. Him talking to us kept us calm. I said 'hang in there, relax. We're going to get the vehicle off of you. Everything is going to be okay,' " Cpl. Arvel Lewis told WUSA9.
Lewis says Bashua Olaseha was talking while a minivan lay on top of him.
Lewis has also been there for the rest of his squad going through this tough time as one of their own remains in Intensive Care.
"It's hard but we're dealing with it we have a lot of help," Lewis said.
